About Amber, RG

Amber Lutey is a Registered Geologist with 9 years of consulting experience providing technical analyses for environmental remediation, site characterization, and regulatory compliance. She is a project manager supporting remedial investigations, conceptual site model development, data interpretation, and field effort design.

Ms. Lutey has extensive experience managing and leading soil, groundwater, sediment, and surface water investigations at sites throughout the United States, using a wide variety of sampling methodologies. She has characterized complex sites affected by petroleum hydrocarbons, wood-treating chemicals, chlorinated solvents and other volatile organic compounds, pesticides, PCBs, perfluorochemicals, and metals to support remedial investigations and feasibility studies. She has managed projects involving multiple subcontractors and consultants, stakeholders, and regulatory oversight personnel on a wide variety of complex and large sites.


Experience and Technical Specialties

  • Plans, manages, and leads field investigations to determine vertical and horizontal distributions of contaminants in groundwater, soil, surface water, storm water, and sediment.

  • Routinely assists in environmental site assessments, remedial investigations, and feasibility studies and prepares technical reports in accordance with state and federal regulations.

  • Provides oversight for drilling, excavation, and construction, and performed geologic logging and interpretation; Inspects field crews to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.

  • Substantial experience using GeoProbes, sonic, rotary, and direct push drill rigs; pressure data loggers; soil vapor samplers; submersible, bladder, centrifugal, and peristaltic pumps; and passive-diffusion sampling bags.
